Kakowan
Community Facility
A place for everybody in the community. We have spaces for hire including meeting rooms, hall, outside areas plus kitchenette.
This state-of-the-art community centre in Bunya 4055, is for local groups and residents to meet, engage in projects with one another and bring the community together. It supports an array of community activities to make the Hills District, Bunya and Albany Creek an even better place to work, live and play.
Enjoy The Facilities
All rooms are fully air conditioned for your comfort. All rooms open out onto the deck overlooking the Moreton Bay Figs and other native flora.
The two meeting rooms are approx. 20sm each. Set up with tables and 16 chairs to facilitate board / small groups / business and sporting group meetings. A bar fridge and urn in each room allows your group to enjoy a tea, coffee or bottle of water.
The two larger rooms 100sm each are separated by a sliding divider. So you could use this area as a single room or one larger room of 200sm. Kitchenettes are in each large room with fridge, microwave, sink and storage. The larger rooms open to both the deck area and alfresco area. The deck area is the length of the building and may be hired separately for a variety of events like art classes, meditation and yoga.
The alfresco area at the front of the building is a gathering place looking out on the gardens. In this area there will be a coffee shop, where locals may purchase a coffee, relax with friends, check socials or send that email via our onsite wifi. Our coffee shop is called KK’s or Kakowan Koffee.
Onsite Groups
We will have regular / permanent groups as tenants as bookings increase. Already we have “The Yoga Pond” two days a week.
